Bye 2008!

A great way to sum up the past year!

Where did you begin 2008?
Jeju Island, South Korea.... We thought it was going to be like Hawaii-- until there was a freak snow storm.

What was your status by Valentine's Day?
In a relationship with JH since October 2007.

Were you in school (anytime this year)?
nope, hoping to go back for a 2nd Master's though...

Did you have to go to the hospital?
nope. I probably should have when I fell on the ice and blacked out.

Did you have any encounters with the police?
Can’t say that I did…


Where did you go on vacation?
Many places…… but to name a few- Thailand, all over South Korea, North Korea, China twice—first time to Shanghai and the second to Beijing. I also spent a week in Vietnam…. And a few days in Japan.. and spent the last week of 2008 here in Chicago!


What did you purchase that was over $500?
A few airline tickets…


Did you know anybody who got married?
MANY! Amber, ERIN, Tricia, Tammy!

Were you in any weddings?
I would have been if I was home.

Did you know anybody who passed away?
Not this year, thank god.

Did you move anywhere?
Yes. 3 different apartments this past year. Ugh!

What sporting events did you attend?
Soccer.

What concerts/shows did you go to?
Lots of movies… no concerts.


Where do you live now?
Seoul, South Korea


Describe your birthday?
I was in Beijing, China. It was about 80 degrees and I climbed a part of the Great Wall of China… Then I drank a few beers at the hostel to celebrate the Chinese Moon Pie festival as well.


What's the one thing you thought you would never do but did in 2008?
I went bungee jumping, and bare hands fishing at an ice festival.


What has/have been your favorite moment(s)?
There are so many: Maybe the first sunset in Thailand with Annie, going on vacation to Vietnam with Joonho, having a group of awesome 6 year olds make my day every day... coming home and seeing my family and friends that I missed dearly!!


What's something you learned about yourself?
Sometimes I need to take the back seat, and listen.. I need to not get so worked up over silly shit.


Any new additions to your family?
nope


What was your best month?
July. Because it was summer vacation.. and December because I got the hell out of KOREA!

What music will you remember 2008 by?
Good question.....

Who has been your best drinking buddy?
I hardly drank, so no one!


Made new friends?
Yes, a few. Jen Smith, Amanda, Ivania…

New Year's Eve!

Any regrets?
Nope.

Overall, how would you rate this year?
I’d give it a solid…. 8.25

What would you change about 2008?
I would have gone home in between contracts to see my family. Waiting almost 17 months was too long for me, and I won’t allow that to happen again!


Other than home, where did you spend most of your time?
Working…. 9-7:30… M-F.


Change your hairstyle?
Nope, it’s always short.

Get a new job?
Same field, different company.

How old did you turn this year?
24! I’m so old.

Do you have a New Year's resolution?
Lose more weight. Make more friends. Save more money.

Did anything embarrassing?
Not that I can remember. Maybe when I called out some of my coworkers for having sex too loudly!

Buy anything new from eBay?
Nope.

Gym membership, airplane tickets. ...

Nope

Be honest - did you watch American Idol?
Yup.

Did you get sick this year?
Yes.. quite a bit. One of the downfalls and working with kiddos.

Yes. Painting…. Working out… scrapbooking…

Been snowboarding?
Skiing two weeks ago.....

Are you happy to see 2008 go?
Yes. I'm ready for 2009!

Drank Starbucks in 2008?
Almost daily.

Very nice.


What are you wishing for in 2009?
More money. Less debt. Healthy…..
