BEST JOB IN THE WORLD:

For the past two months I've been following a South Korean native "Juweon Jonathan Kim" and his blog as he applied and interviewed for the "The Best Job in the World". Maybe some of you are familiar with what I am talking about? This is a six month job where you get to be the caretaker of an Island off the northeast coast of Australia. The caretaker is paid $100,000 and is required to feed the fish, clean the pool and send weekly blog and video reports on what is happening on the island. Convinced yet? This has to be the best job in the world. The question that remains is "Why didn't I apply for this job myself?"

Like I said, I've been following this guys journey and so far it's been incredible. The final sixteen applications were chosen from the short list of 50, who were chosen from 34,000 applicants from around the world. They recently all were flown down to Hamilton Island in Australia for a 3 day interview. This Korean guy has a pretty intense blog where he uploads massive pictures, videos, etc. I'm cheering for him, but maybe I'm bias since he's Korean and I live in Korea!?

I guess what his journey has led me to think is that while my journey in Korea has been awesome, I am very much ready for something else. Although I am not in the greatest shape of my life, I think I could handle some type of adventure. The world is an awesome place, and there is so much to see and do. While I've been lucky to explore many places at a young age, I've yet to scrape the surface when you look at the world as a whole.

While I'm pondering my next adventure, I think I'll day dream a little about the Hamilton Islands...

Maybe next year?!
